Dimitri Ialta is a project dedicated to the production of shows. It is led by Jordi Duran Roldós and focuses on socio-political commitment, creation in singular spaces, as well as the search for new ways to relate the spectator to the performing arts.The name Dimitri Ialta refers to Dmitri Dmitrich Gurov, the main character in The Lady with the Dog by Anton Chekhov. Also to the place where the action of this story happens, the city of Yalta, a place that would host the Yalta Conference in 1945, at which the   division of European territory at the end of World War II was decided.Dimitri Ialta is also a creative adventure that has grown thanks to the regular participation of professionals such as Anna Giribet, Natàlia Lloreta, Andreu Bori, Llorenç Corbella and Eva Marichalar-Freixa.

Jordi Duran Roldós has a Degree in Catalan Philology (University of Girona) and in Hispanic Philology (University of Girona), as well as a Master's Degree in Inclusive Education (University of Lleida, University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia and University of the Balearic Islands). He has also studied artistic direction and playwriting and the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona (ESAD). Since 2008 he has been responsible for the artistic project Dimitri Ialta. As a cultural manager, he’s been the artistic Director of FiraTàrrega Festival (2011 - 2018) and the co-director of the Master's Degree in street arts creation by the University of Lleida and FiraTàrrega (2013-2017). As a professor and a researcher he collaborated too with the Master's Degree in Cultural Management of the International University of Catalonia (2010 - 2017). He is currently a professor at the Degree in Performing Arts at the ERAM (University of Girona).


Dimitri Ialta is also presented as a space for research and the transmission of knowledge. It is a necessary complement to the field of creation. It has to do with the expansion of each project raised to date.The formative mode that has arisen since Dimitri Ialta has been involved with artistic practice.The productions of Dimitri Ialta have generated very diverse material and actions, knowledge that has been made available to our viewers through creative residences, workshops, talks and other activities.
